To further promote the delivery of high-quality traditional Chinese medicine resources to the grassroots level and enhance the standardized diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic and pain-related diseases in primary healthcare institutions, the kickoff meeting for the establishment of a demonstration site under Liu Liang’s “Academician Project Goes to the Grassroots—Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns Initiative,” together with a training workshop on the promotion of appropriate TCM techniques organized by the Wulong District Medical Association, was successfully held at the Wulong District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 27 to 28, 2026. The event was hosted by the Wulong District Health Commission and co-organized by the Wulong District TCM Hospital and the Wulong District Medical Association.

Concurrently, from March 15 to 17, a training course on the “Triple Sequential Therapy for Rheumatism and Pain” was also launched as an integral part of this initiative. This marks the official introduction of this nationally recognized, high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic technique for rheumatic pain into Guangxin, enabling residents across the district to receive standardized care led by a team of academicians right in their own communities.
