On January 8, Niu Shunsheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, visited the CPPCC Member Studio for Advanced Manufacturing and Innovative Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Huaihua) (hereinafter referred to as the “Member Studio”) to conduct a research visit. During the visit, he gained an in-depth understanding of the studio’s construction and operational status as well as its effectiveness in empowering industries. Liu Yong (a member of the Huaihua Municipal CPPCC, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, and Director of the Municipal Government’s Overseas Chinese Affairs Office) and Wu Feichi (a member of the Hunan Provincial CPPCC, Chairman and President of Zhengqing Group), who serve as conveners of the Member Studio, warmly welcomed Mr. Niu and jointly presented reports on key areas of work.

With the theme of “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Creation,” Develop the distinctive brand of the “Three Innovations” salon. Regularly invite representatives from government, enterprises, academia, and research institutions to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as the distinctive development model for traditional Chinese medicine centered around “Three Chains, One Park, One Port, One Forum, One Fund, and One Center,” as well as the cultivation of new-quality productivity in the industry. This will establish an efficient exchange platform for government-enterprise collaboration and integration among industry, academia, and research, thereby fostering a shared vision for industrial development.

Niu Shunsheng fully affirmed the effectiveness of the CPPCC members’ studios. He emphasized that the studios should continue to focus on Huaihua’s advanced manufacturing and traditional Chinese medicine industries, deepen the branding efforts for “China’s Southern Herbal Medicine Valley,” and make every effort to ensure its inclusion in national and provincial planning as well as key support project lists. They must rigorously maintain the quality of proposals, using high-quality collective proposals to secure provincial policy support. Furthermore, they should continuously organize distinctive activities such as the “Three Innovations” salons, fully leveraging the role of CPPCC members in participating in state governance and offering advice, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of Huaihua’s advanced manufacturing and traditional Chinese medicine industries.
