On the morning of December 23, 2025, the signing and unveiling ceremony for the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation and the demonstration site of the “Academician Projects to the Grassroots—Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns Initiative” was held at the Hélán County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Attending the event were Li Yanping, Deputy Director of the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation; He Zhiguo, Project Promotion Director; Ye Dan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Yinchuan Municipal Health Commission; Ma Hao, Deputy County Mayor of Hélán County; Xin Lihua, Director of the County Health Bureau, along with heads and key personnel from all member units of the Hélán County Medical and Health General Hospital. The meeting was chaired by Fan Wenhui, President of the Hélán County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.
Ma Hao, Deputy County Mayor of Helan County People’s Government, delivered the opening address, emphasizing that the workstation plays a vital role in channeling high-quality medical resources to the grassroots level and enhancing the capacity of primary-level traditional Chinese medicine services. Following this, Shao Wenchao, Secretary of the Party General Branch of Helan County TCM Hospital, provided an overview of the hospital’s development.
During the event, the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation signed a Cooperation Agreement on Bringing Academician‑Led Projects to the Grassroots with the Helan County Health Commission, and also entered into a joint‑construction agreement with the Helan County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital to establish a demonstration site under the “Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns” initiative. Secretary Ye Dan emphasized that the workstation must truly fulfill its roles in technological leadership and talent development, enabling local residents to access high‑quality TCM services close to home. Deputy Director Li Yanping stated that they would systematically promote the “Rheumatism and Pain Triple‑Sequential Therapy,” leveraging technical training and mobile clinical outreach to help Helan County build a distinctive specialty. Subsequently, Deputy Director Li Yanping and Vice County Magistrate Ma Hao jointly unveiled the plaque for the demonstration site, marking the entry of Helan County’s rheumatism and pain specialty into a new phase of development.
This collaboration will take Helan County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital as its hub, gradually extending appropriate technologies to primary-level medical institutions, establishing a county‑wide tiered diagnosis and treatment network for rheumatic and pain conditions, enhancing the accessibility of TCM services, and contributing to the development of “Healthy Helan.”
