On September 18, the Medical Professionals’ Academic Conference, hosted by the Federation of Medical Associations of Macao, was held at the Fisherman’s Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre in Macao. Professor Huang Wei, a trainer in the Zhengqing Fengtongning triple‑sequential therapy and Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University, attended and delivered a keynote address titled “Advances in the Clinical Application of Sinomenine and Considerations on Its Safety.” The event was also attended by Guan Bingquan, Chairman of the Federation of Medical Associations of Macao, along with numerous local medical professionals. This conference serves as an important platform for professional exchange within Macao’s medical community, has been incorporated into the city’s continuing professional development credit system for healthcare personnel, enjoys widespread recognition among local medical and nursing staff, and drew over 800 participants—both online and offline.
During the lecture, Professor Huang Wei drew on his team’s extensive clinical experience to provide an in-depth analysis of the clinical applications of Zhengqing Fengtongning in areas such as neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, and the prevention and management of gout. By presenting multiple sets of pre‑ and post‑treatment comparative cases, he vividly demonstrated the drug’s clinical utility, while also systematically reviewing and sharing insights into its safety profile, thereby offering valuable clinical guidance for healthcare professionals in Macao.
