On June 17, the plaque‑presentation and signing ceremony for the demonstration site of the “Rheumatism and Pain Triple Sequential Therapy—Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns Initiative” was officially held at the Lechang Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Attending the event were Liang Songmao, Director of the Lechang Municipal Health Commission, and Deputy Director Li Shu; Luo Jie, Party Secretary and Executive President of the Lechang Municipal TCM Hospital; Vice Presidents Yi Xihong, Luo Xiaoying, and Xiao Jinzhong; heads of relevant departments; Wu Tianhao, Deputy Director of Academician Liu Liang’s Expert Workstation; He Zhiguo, National Project Director of the Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns Initiative; as well as members of the project team—totaling more than 70 participants.

The ceremony was chaired by Vice President Yi Xihong. Secretary Luo Jie delivered a welcome address, highlighting the project’s significance for specialty‑level development and regional healthcare advancement. He Minpeng, Head of the Rehabilitation Department, reported on the operations of the training base and demonstration sites, while Director He Zhiguo outlined the nationwide progress of the “Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns” initiative. Following this, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement to engage in in-depth collaboration across multiple dimensions, including specialty development and talent cultivation, with the aim of jointly establishing a regional medical consortium specializing in rheumatic pain management.

Director Liang Songmao of the Municipal Health Commission extended his congratulations on the project’s successful launch and outlined three earnest expectations: First, seize the opportunity to strengthen specialized disciplines by leveraging a high‑end platform, transforming the technological strengths of the academician team into a core driver of the hospital’s development; second, deepen roots at the grassroots level, promote the equitable distribution of resources across urban and rural areas, and ensure that traditional Chinese medicine services benefit a broader population at the community level; third, pursue concrete action with unwavering dedication, establish model benchmarks to the highest standards, and forge a replicable Lechang experience for revitalizing TCM in county‑level healthcare.

Wu Tianhao, deputy director of the workstation, stated that they will fully leverage the national-level platform’s advantages in resources, technology, and talent to provide robust support for the construction of the demonstration site, thereby helping the Sanlian sequential therapy take root and yield fruitful results in Lechang.

At the conclusion of the event, the attending leaders jointly unveiled the plaque. The establishment of this demonstration site injects new momentum into the upgrading and advancement of Leshan’s traditional Chinese medicine sector. Following the unveiling ceremony, all guests toured the academician‑led clinical treatment zone and engaged in in-depth discussions on the demonstration site’s subsequent initiatives, including the development of academician‑led projects, clinical mentorship, and specialized department building.
