Southern Mountain Honeysuckle Industry Production–Sales Matchmaking Conference

On May 24, the Southern Honeysuckle Industry Production–Sales Matchmaking Conference was successfully held in Longtan Town, Xupu County. Focusing on enhancing the quality and efficiency of the honeysuckle industry and fostering integrated development between production and sales, Zhengqing Group participated deeply in the event. Leveraging its cutting-edge research capabilities and a comprehensive “science–agriculture–industry–trade–medicine” industrial chain in traditional Chinese medicine, the group is fully committed to driving the standardized, internationalized, and next‑level upgrade of the Huaihua honeysuckle sector.

This conference brought together over 200 industry representatives, including national experts in traditional Chinese medicine, leading pharmaceutical companies, and partners across the supply chain, to collaboratively refine industry standards, enhance raw-material quality, and streamline distribution channels. Academician Liu Liang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of Zhengqing Group attended online and delivered a speech, providing targeted support for the development of standardized Shan Yin Hua, the exploration of food‑medicine homology applications, and international expansion. He Zunqing, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Political and Legal Committee, and Head of the Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Chain, chaired the meeting, while Long Xianjun, Rotating President of Zhengqing Group, also participated.

Standardization is the core driving force behind the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. At this conference, the results of the first nationwide extended inspection of a GAP‑certified Lonicera japonica base were officially announced, with Zhengqing Group’s standardized Lonicera japonica cultivation base successfully passing the verification. This mature and well‑established system for source‑level cultivation and quality control represents a significant achievement in Zhengqing Group’s deep commitment to developing the Lonicera japonica value chain and fortifying its raw‑material quality safeguards. During the event, leading industry experts provided an in‑depth analysis of the progress in applying for “food‑medicine homology” status for Lonicera japonica in Hunan, Guizhou, and Chongqing, as well as the implementation of national medicinal‑material standards and ISO international standards, thereby laying a solid scientific foundation for overcoming industry bottlenecks and aligning with the global market.

This conference yielded substantial results in connecting production with sales, and industrial cooperation has been successfully implemented. Hunan Zhengsheng Shan Yin Hua Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhengqing Group, has signed letters of intent for procurement with Guangzhou Baiyunshan Hutchison Whampoa Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Yifang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and has also entered into agreements with the Longtan Town Rural Economic Cooperative in Xupu County for expanding its GAP‑certified cultivation base and securing additional procurement commitments, thereby effectively addressing the challenge of aligning local raw‑material supply with market demand. In addition, the conference launched the Southern Shan Yin Hua Industry Alliance, with Zhengqing Group serving as a key member. The alliance will coordinate upstream and downstream enterprises, integrate core resources in technology, distribution channels, and branding, and pool efforts to drive the industry’s collective development.

Prior to the meeting, the attending guests, accompanied by city leaders, conducted an on-site visit to Zhengqing Group’s Lonicera japonica GAP‑certified cultivation base and its processing and trading hub, thoroughly assessing the progress made in building a comprehensive value chain spanning source‑level cultivation, warehousing, and trade. They expressed strong approval of Zhengqing Group’s standardized industrial development model for Lonicera japonica.
