On March 16, Li Yanping, Deputy Director of the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation, and He Zhiguo, Project Director, Zhengqing Fengtongning Qiu Zhigang, Director of Division Two and Station Manager of the Jiangxi Service Station, along with project advisory expert Li Yi and other members of the delegation, attended the signing ceremony. Under the joint witness of Wang Minghua, Deputy Director of the Guangxin District Health Commission; Luo Zhongming, Party Secretary and President of the District People’s Hospital; and Jiang Longhua, Vice President of the hospital, representatives from both sides formally signed the project cooperation agreement and jointly unveiled the plaque designating the site as a demonstration point for Academician Liu Liang’s Expert Workstation under the “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Towns Initiative.” This signing and unveiling ceremony marks the official launch of in-depth collaboration between the academician’s team and the Guangxin District People’s Hospital.
Meanwhile, a team of experts has conducted specialized training for key physicians across the district’s health and wellness system, employing a comprehensive approach that combines on-site clinical diagnosis and treatment, hands-on practical instruction, and theoretical lectures, thereby comprehensively enhancing the diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities of primary-care medical personnel in the management of rheumatic pain.
The “Rheumatism and Pain Triple Sequential Therapy” now implemented represents a nationally recognized achievement in the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, developed by the research team led by Academician Liu Liang. It serves as a clinical model for integrated Chinese–Western medicine treatment of rheumatic diseases, osteoarticular disorders, and soft-tissue pain. This therapy breaks through the limitations of single-modality approaches by employing a three-stage sequential regimen—precision-targeted analgesia, deep anti-inflammatory and decongestive treatment, and restorative consolidation and conditioning—to establish a comprehensive therapeutic pathway that progresses from rapid symptom relief and root-cause elimination of inflammation to joint repair and relapse prevention, thereby truly addressing both the symptoms and underlying causes of the disease. In response to the clinical challenges posed by conditions such as neck–shoulder–lower-back–leg pain and rheumatoid arthritis—namely their tendency to recur despite repeated treatments and persistent refractoriness—this therapy not only delivers rapid onset, stable efficacy, and few adverse reactions but is also highly adaptable to primary-care settings, offering patients with chronic pain a new, standardized treatment option.
As a demonstration site under Academician Liu Liang’s Expert Workstation “Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns Initiative,” Guangxin District People’s Hospital will take this opportunity to establish a standardized specialized clinic for the “Rheumatology and Pain Triple Sequential Therapy” regimen, leveraging the robust technical support of the academician’s team to facilitate the efficient translation of cutting-edge national-level technologies into enhanced clinical capabilities at the primary-care level. Moving forward, the hospital will continue to conduct systematic training and academic exchanges for its medical staff, actively develop a regional collaborative network for the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic pain, and effectively address the pressing concerns of local residents—namely, the long distances they must travel to seek care, the difficulties in accessing medical services, and the challenges in obtaining effective pain relief. By fully harnessing the demonstration site’s role as a model and catalyst, and by meticulously cultivating a distinctive primary-care brand in this specialty, the hospital will deliver higher-quality, more convenient healthcare services to safeguard the musculoskeletal health of all residents in the district, thereby injecting strong momentum into the comprehensive advancement of the “Healthy Guangxin” initiative.
