Recently, during the Fifth Session of the Sixth People’s Congress of Huaihua City, Long Xianjun, a deputy to the Municipal People’s Congress and rotating president of Zhengqing Group, focused on promoting the high‑quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, actively fulfilling his duties and offering constructive suggestions, thereby injecting industrial momentum into the development of Huaihua as “China’s Southern Herbal Medicine Valley.”

At the Fourth Session of the Sixth Municipal People’s Congress, Long Xianjun’s proposals related to the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry were successfully included in the Selected Proposals from Deputies. The proposals focused on areas such as the construction of research platforms and the full-industry-chain development of Shan Yin Hua, precisely aligning with Huaihua’s industrial system layout and the government’s work priorities.

At the Fifth Session of the Sixth Municipal People’s Congress, he further proposed implementing a development model featuring “Three Chains, One Park, One Port, One Forum, One Fund, and One Center.” He put forward specific recommendations centered on strengthening the “Huai Liu Wei” brand, building a Chinese medicine industry industrial park, and developing an international land port for Chinese medicine that is led by ISO international standards, thereby providing a practical roadmap for the construction of the “Southern China Herbal Medicine Valley.”

Long Xianjun stated that Zhengqing Group will leverage research platforms such as the Hunan Provincial Modern Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutical Process Technology Innovation Center to break through core technologies, accelerate the development and launch of new drugs, and continuously promote ISO international standards for traditional Chinese medicine. Relying on the Huaihua International Land Port, the group will drive “Huai Medicine” into the RCEP region and markets along the Belt and Road, putting the spirit of the conference into concrete action and contributing Zhengqing’s strength to the high‑quality development of Huaihua’s traditional Chinese medicine industry, as well as to the establishment of a TCM distribution and trading hub oriented toward ASEAN.
