On the morning of December 6, the unveiling and signing ceremony for the demonstration site of the “Academician Project Going to the Grassroots—Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages Initiative” at Academician Liu Liang’s Expert Workstation was held at... Jingning County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Held with great solemnity. The implementation of this demonstration site, It is a key measure for thoroughly implementing the national strategy for the development of traditional Chinese medicine and technological innovation, and for advancing the “strengthening health through talent and revitalizing medicine through science and technology” initiative.
The leaders and experts invited to attend this event include: Li Yanping, Deputy Director of the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation; He Zhiguo, Director of Project Promotion; Fu Wenjun, Regional Project Manager for Gansu Province; and Yang Lian, Project Promotion Manager; Xie Chaohui, Chairman of the Pain Medicine Branch of the Gansu Provincial Medical Association and Director of the Pain Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Lanzhou University; You Zhixia, Head of the Pain Department at Tianshui City Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Director of the Tianshui Pain Specialty Quality Control Center, and Project Guidance Expert at the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation; as well as county-level leaders including members of the Standing Committee of the Jingning County Party Committee, Head of the Publicity Department, Vice Chairperson of the County People's Congress Standing Committee, Deputy County Mayor of the County People's Government, and Vice Chairperson of the County Political Consultative Conference.
The event also attracted over 200 participants, including the Party Secretary and Director of the County Health Commission, members of the Party Committee, the Deputy Director, members of the Party Committee of the County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, as well as representatives from the medical consortium and medical personnel at all levels. The meeting was chaired by Kong Changjun, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the County People’s Congress.
At the meeting, county leaders, medical experts, and heads of academician expert workstations delivered speeches and introduced the progress of the demonstration sites. The unveiling of these demonstration sites and the signing of cooperation agreements mark... Jingning County Under the guidance and support of the academician team, we will systematically establish a tiered diagnosis and treatment system for rheumatic diseases and pain. The core objective of the “Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Villages Initiative” is to promote a three-step sequential therapy for rheumatic diseases and pain—characterized by simplicity, convenience, affordability, and effectiveness—through a collaborative and synergistic model that facilitates the downscaling of advanced technologies and fosters talent development. We strive to transform the demonstration sites into bases for academic inheritance, windows for technology promotion, and models for service reform. By nurturing a group of local backbone professionals and building distinctive specialized brands, we aim to provide sustained “traditional Chinese medicine strength” for the construction of a healthy Jingning county, ensuring that the fruits of scientific and technological advancement truly benefit all residents of the county and enabling people to access high-quality, nationally recognized medical services right at their doorsteps.
