At the project promotion and exchange meeting, attendees were briefed on the overall development of Zhongtang Hospital, the training base for the Rheumatology and Pain Triple-Sequence Sequential Therapy, the operational status of the "Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Villages" Project demonstration site, as well as the progress and preliminary achievements of the "Academician Project to Grassroots Level—Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Villages Initiative." On-site, project representatives signed cooperation agreements with the Zhongtang Town Health and Wellness Bureau and Zhongtang Hospital, clearly outlining future collaboration directions and specific action plans.
"The Academician Project at the Grassroots Level—The Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Villages Initiative"—led by a top-tier team of domestic academicians—is fundamentally designed to deliver cutting-edge medical technologies, standardized treatment protocols, and advanced hospital management practices directly to county- and township-level hospitals through an innovative model of "academicians providing technical support combined with on-the-ground implementation in grassroots facilities." This initiative places a strong focus on diseases commonly prevalent among rural populations, such as rheumatic immune disorders and pain rehabilitation. It aims to extend specialized, green, safe, and effective treatment approaches to primary healthcare institutions in Zhongtang Town, while also addressing critical gaps in grassroots hospitals—including limitations in specialized technical capabilities, insufficient reserves of skilled professionals, and inconsistent clinical practice guidelines. Ultimately, the project seeks to achieve its goal of enabling local residents to receive high-quality medical care without having to travel long distances, ensuring that people can access effective treatments right within their own counties. Currently, pilot programs are steadily advancing across 10 provinces nationwide.

This time, the demonstration site for the "Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns Plan" has been established at Dongguan Zhongtang Hospital. Not only will it provide robust technical and talent support for Zhongtang Hospital's transformation into a comprehensive Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital, but through the dual approach of "bringing technology and talent down to the grassroots," it will also effectively enhance the quality of primary healthcare services in Zhongtang Town and surrounding areas, enabling residents to enjoy higher-quality, more convenient medical care right at their doorstep.
