The Sixth Session of the Seventh Congress of Trade Union Members of Zhengqing Group was successfully held, with Qiu Qunying elected Chairperson of the Trade Union Committee.

On May 26, the Sixth Session of the Seventh Trade Union Members’ Congress of Zhengqing Group was held successfully. The meeting proceeded in strict accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Constitution of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, smoothly completing all agenda items. A new chairperson of the trade union committee was elected by by-election, and several important matters concerning the immediate interests of employees were reviewed and approved. Xiang Weiguo, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zhengqing Group, presided over the meeting, which was attended by Qiu Qunying, Assistant to the Group President, Liu Jinxi, Vice Chairperson of the Trade Union, along with more than 30 employee representatives.
The meeting first reviewed and approved the supplementary list of employee representatives, after which it heard and deliberated, in sequence, the report on the 2025 annual union fund revenues, expenditures, and utilization presented by Yang Hanbing, Director of the Union’s Financial Review Committee; the briefing on employee representative proposals delivered by Liu Jinxí, Vice Chairman of the Union; and the work summary for 2025 and the work plan for 2026 submitted by Xiang Weiguo, former Chairman of the Union, on behalf of the Union Committee.
At this conference, a total of 14 proposals were submitted by 10 employee representatives, covering areas of widespread concern to staff, such as logistical support, compensation and benefits, and corporate culture development. Following thorough deliberation and rigorous screening by the Sixth Session of the Group’s Seventh Trade Union Committee, three formal proposals were selected for consideration at the meeting. The remaining proposals will be reviewed individually by the relevant functional departments, which will provide written responses to the employee representatives.
In accordance with democratic election procedures, the meeting held a secret ballot to elect Comrade Qiu Qunying as Chairperson of the Zhengqing Group Trade Union Committee. On May 28, the Trade Union Federation of the Huaihua High-Tech Industrial Development Zone formally issued an official reply confirming that the election process was lawful and its outcome valid. The convening of this congress has further strengthened the organizational foundation of the Group’s trade union and ensured smooth channels for employees’ democratic management and the expression of their concerns. The newly restructured trade union leadership team will take this meeting as a starting point, earnestly fulfill its duties in safeguarding workers’ rights and providing services, and unite and lead all employees to pool their efforts, act with pragmatism and assume responsibility, thereby injecting robust trade union momentum into the high-quality development of the Zhengqing Group.
