The event was attended by more than 100 participants, including Gui Junfeng, Director of the County Health Commission; Yu Chengmei, Deputy Director; Fang Fuping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the People’s Hospital of Luoshan County; Gao Daofu, President; Bao Naimi, Vice President; Li Yanping, Deputy Director of Academician Liu Liang’s Expert Workstation; He Zhiguo, National Project Director; Song Yongna, Henan Regional Manager; as well as leaders from medical institutions within the regional medical consortium.
The event was chaired by Bao Naimi, Vice President of Luoshan County People’s Hospital, and welcomed by Fang Fuping, Secretary of the hospital’s Party Committee. Following this, Director Chen Fang presented an update on the progress of the demonstration site construction, while Project Director He Zhiguo outlined the nationwide achievements of the “Thousand Counties, Ten Thousand Towns” initiative.
Deputy Station Director Li Yanping and Project Director He Zhiguo each signed cooperation agreements with the County Health Commission and the County People’s Hospital, outlining collaborative efforts to jointly establish a specialized department for rheumatic pain and other related responsibilities.
In her address, Li Yanping, Deputy Director of the Academician Liu Liang Expert Workstation, expressed her hope that the demonstration project would take root and flourish in Luoshan County, working together to establish a regionally influential specialized center for the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases and pain at the grassroots level.
Yu Chengmei, deputy director of the County Health Commission, hopes that the project will be implemented in Luoshan County. Centering on demonstration sites, advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies are being rolled out to medical institutions across all townships and towns, bridging the “last mile” of access to high-quality healthcare services. By strengthening coordinated care among city, county, and township-level facilities, the benefits of cutting-edge medical expertise are delivered directly to the grassroots level, benefiting residents throughout the entire county.
Subsequently, the attending leaders jointly unveiled the plaque, bringing the event to a thrilling climax. Following the unveiling ceremony, all guests toured the academician‑led project’s clinical consultation zone and engaged in in‑depth discussions on advancing the demonstration site’s ongoing initiatives, including academician‑led training, clinical mentorship, and specialized department development.
The establishment of this demonstration site represents an important step in bringing high-quality traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technologies to the grassroots level. Moving forward, Luoshan County People’s Hospital will leverage the technical support of the academician workstation to train local specialists, promote the application of these therapies within the county‑level medical consortium, and continuously enhance primary‑care diagnostic and treatment capabilities, ensuring that the distinctive strengths of TCM benefit a broader range of community patients.
