On November 21, Li Yong and his delegation from the New Social Strata Division of the United Front Work Department of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, accompanied by Liu Yong, Deputy Director of the Municipal Party Committee’s United Front Work Department, visited Zhengqing Group to conduct a special research visit on the construction of the Zhengqing New Social Strata United Front Work Practice Innovation Base. Wu Feichi, Chairman of the Municipal New Social Strata Federation, Chairman and President of Zhengqing Group, and Xiang Weiguo, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Trade Union, extended a warm welcome to the delegation.
During the调研, Li Yong and his delegation first visited the exhibition hall of the integrated formulation workshop at Zhengqing Group. Wu Feichi provided a detailed introduction to the company’s development journey, its scientific research and innovation achievements, its core product portfolio, and its industrial layout plan.
Zhengqing Group has established a high-level scientific research platform comprising “One Station, One Institute, and Three Centers” (One Station: Academician Liu Liang’s Workstation; One Institute: Qingfengteng Research Institute; Three Centers: International mPGES-1 Drug Research Center, Hunan Provincial Innovation Center for Modern Chinese Medicine Manufacturing Processes, and China (Huaihua) Center for Promoting and Applying ISO International Standards for Traditional Chinese Medicine). This platform provides solid scientific and technological support for the development of the industry.
At the Practice and Innovation Base for United Front Work of the New Social Strata, Wu Feichi reported on the base’s operational status and key achievements. The base brings together more than 150 representatives from the new social strata and was first recognized in 2022 as the “Huaihua Practice and Innovation Base for United Front Work of the New Social Strata,” and in 2023, it was selected as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level practice and innovation bases in Hunan Province.
The base has innovatively established the “Three Innovations” Salon platform to precisely empower the development of key industries such as traditional Chinese medicine in Huaihua. In October 2023, under the theme of “Innovative Development of the Entire TCM Industry Chain,” the base invited members of provincial and municipal CPPCC committees, representatives from emerging social groups, and relevant government departments to brainstorm and offer suggestions within the framework of “Three Chains, One Park, One Port, One Forum, One Fund, and One Center.” In May 2024, the base hosted a matchmaking event for industry, academia, and research in the advanced equipment manufacturing industry chain, specially inviting experts from Changsha University of Technology to share insights into cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence and help enterprises achieve transformation and upgrading. In April 2025, the base organized a special event focused on the construction of the “Southern China Herbal Medicine Valley,” resulting in five core recommendations that received high recognition from leaders at all levels.
